Modelling: The Finale, The Race to the Conductor

As a precursor to the big "Metropolis" reveal Red is joined by the citizens of this musical world in a frenetic dash to the Finale. In this section Red is deposited by a flock of birds and runs along a track whilst being accosted by the mischievous King on his Paladin. Compared to putting the Metropolis together this environment is stark, however it will be populated by a cornucopia of musical fellows which will, no doubt, steal the show.

Modelling: The Finale

After finishing the dreaded Conveyor Belt of Doom I started to piece together the various  district models in order to create the Finale, which is essentially a cornucopia of wedding cake constructions.

Eventually components of this will be animated in order to show the orchestra crystallising into it's final form.

Digital Sets: The Overture #3

The Overture requited a bit of extra work as it was lacking the platform/doors where Red enters The Overture. Using the full dome, I cut out a hole for the platform and I added some walls to clean it up. I also added a few little details, rebuilt the doors, and added controls to the doors for convenience. The dome is also split in half so each half can be toggled on and to make lighting and setting up cameras easier.

I'm pleased to announce the King and Queen of the Kingdom of Sound have taken up residence - courtesy of Ethan Shilling, who has translated Julien Van Wallendael's character designs into fully-rigged and ready-to-animate 3D models.
