I think, in terms of making this world happen, we're going to have to model lots of stuff, as I can see that trying to spin lots of content from the actual 2d images is going to make work as opposed to save time. In this way, the concept art is functioning traditionally as mood board and thumbnail vista. That said, I absolutely loved that experiment with the more abstract 'violin' image, in so much as it was nicely three dimensional, but I liked the matte quality and the 'non-materiality' of the objects themselves - i.e. they weren't emulating real world materials.
